No such thing as bad publicity

Following the media storm surrounding the infamous call to Andrew Sachs by Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross, it would appear that the whole saga could be instrumental in reviving Mr Sachs’ career!
Mr Sachs’ agent had apparently contacted Corrie’s bosses a few months ago, but it was the publicity around the Radio 2 incident that brought the letter back to their attention! The upshot is that they are now looking at writing a part for Andrew Sachs as the brother of Norris Cole. The character of Norris is well known for his eccentric and slightly wry humour, so it seems fitting that he could have a long lost brother who is from the cast of one of the UK’s comedy classics. He might even be sending a note of thanks to Messrs Ross and Brand if the deal comes off! It does go to show though, that there is no such thing as bad publicity.
