Are You The PR Professional of the Year?
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations Thames & Chiltern Group today announces that it has opened nominations for its PR Professional of the Year award. The Norman Manners Award, uniquely given by the CIPR’s Thames and Chiltern Group, recognises an individual’s outstanding contribution to the PR industry, and will be awarded to someone living or working in the region who has achieved the highest professional standards not only over the past twelve months, but throughout their career. For the first time, nominations are open to all PR practitioners and the wider business community. PR professionals can also nominate themselves. The winner will receive their award at the Thames & Chiltern PRide Awards ceremony to be held in Marlow on Friday 23rd February 2007. The CIPR’s Thames and Chiltern group represents nearly 600 PR professionals who live or work in Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire. ‘Many people in companies, local authority organisations or the charity sector within this region will have worked with or employed PR professionals who have made a significant contribution to the success of a business, run outstanding PR campaigns that have really helped to change opinion, or helped others in their careers,’ says Nicky Davis, Chair of the CIPR Thames & Chiltern Group. ‘This award gives those both inside and outside the profession the opportunity to have that achievement recognised by the key industry body.’ The deadline for entries is Friday 12th January 2007.
